Last Saturday, runners, walkers and dancers of all ages came together to light up the city as they made their way through Anjung Floria, Putrajaya for one of the world’s most popular nocturnal fun runs — Electric Run Recharged 2017 — presented by AmMetLife Insurance Berhad.
Organised by Livescape Group and supported by Malaysia Major Events (MME), the 5km neon run amped up the night as 14,000 runners experienced an exclusive journey of light and sound through time with various zones, each representing a unique theme and music era, making it the most electrifying experience.

1. That Neon Life
Neon art, neon body paint and illuminating UV lights — need we say more? 😍
2. Putrajaya is beautiful
For us newbies, hanging out in Putrajaya at night for the first time has indeed made us realise some things — the federal administrative centre of Malaysia is gorgeous! With clean infrastructure, modern buildings and basically zero traffic, some of us (me!) might even consider moving there in the future.
3. Sling Shot!
The Sling Shot was by far one of the most exciting vertical amusement rides around. Big thanks to Rexona Malaysia, we have finally conquered our fear of heights at Electric Run Recharged last weekend.
4. Look at that shiny medal
At the end of the race, we were awarded with this divine-looking medal which certainly helped boost our confidence and motivate us to work out more. Let’s do this! 💪

5. EDM Takeover
Rave deprived no more — The EDM course land was full on madness. Gotta thank BATE for gracing the night with his sick beats!
6. The Course Lands
Electric Run Recharged was brought to life with nine unique course lands that took participants through a truly immersive journey including The Start Line, Hip Hop, EDM, Sugarrush, Polyphonics, Stardust, Disco, Rainbow Road, The Finish Line / Celebration Stage. The infectious tunes throughout the run kept the crowd grooving through the night.
7. Talented local acts
Maintaining the high energy levels post-run, participants were further pumped up by having local artists such as CUURLEY, Amanda Avyanna and Blastique, SonaOne and De Fam share the same stage. Malaysia’s homegrown talent, pop trio, DeFam entertained the crowd with their Number 1 Hit single “#SUPERGIRLS” amongst other familiar songs that the crowd sang along to.

8. SILENTO was here!
We watched him whip. Participants were seen dancing to the Billboard chart topper and hip hop sensation, Silento as he performed “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” which also marked the end of biggest Electric Run in Malaysia.
