12 Concerts and Shows to Look Forward to In Early 2015!

Our 2015 is already looking super busy with these much anticipated concerts in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Singapore. If your 2015 calendar is still looking rather empty, here’s hoping that by the end of this post, you’ll have something to look forward to.

1. British indie-rock sensations Bastille hit KL Live on the 3rd of January, 2015. Nominated for 4 Brit Awards in 2014, with a debut album reaching number 1 in the British charts and over 7.5 million album sales, Bastille is the hottest new band on the alt-rock scene. Don’t miss this rare chance to see them in Malaysia.

2. Between the 9th and 11th of January the klpac orchestra will be performing concerts featuring some of the most popular film scores of all time. Themes from films such as Frozen, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight and more will be performed at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre.

3. Why not take a short break to Singapore and the Marina Bay Sands Resort to see Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s production of Cats which runs until the 1st of February 2015.

4. If you like your music heavy, then you don’t want to miss American metal legends Avenged Sevenfold at Sunway Lagoon on the 23rd of January. With over 10 million album sales and supporting a US Billboard number 1 charting album, this promises to be one of the most explosives shows in Malaysia in 2015!

5. Canadian singer-songwriter, Michael Buble performs at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil on the 27th of January.

6. British pop superstar Lily Allen is performing in Singapore on the 2nd of February 2015!

7. Music hipsters and alt-rock fans will not want to miss legendary The Smiths and Electronic guitarist Johnny Marr in Singapore on the 9th of February.

8. Guitar hero and former Guns ‘n’ Roses member Slash returns to Malaysia in 2015 to perform a high-octane spectacular rock show at Sunway Lagoon on the 14th of February.

9. American singer-songwriter Christina Perri will be performing at KL Live on the 3rd of March. Best known for the single “A Thousand Years” which sold 4 million copies in the US and garnered more than 200 million YouTube downloads, she brings her special brand of soulful pop to KL for one night only in March.

10. The Future Music Festival takes up residency in Singapore in 2015, and a stellar cast of performers are appearing over the 13th and 14th of March, including Avicii, The Prodigy, Afrojack, Fatboy Slim, and Knife Party, with more acts to be announced soon!
