Sundance Channel announced recently that it will celebrate the prestigious Sundance Film Festival with an acclaimed line-up of 10 films from Friday 23rd January to Sunday 1st February. The 10 Days of Sundance promotion will feature festival favourites from Park City, Utah each night at 22:00. These highlights will be airing exclusively on Sundance Channel HD, Channel 438, Astro b.yond.
The annual Sundance Film Festival is the largest independent cinema event in the United States showcasing new work from American and international filmmakers. Established by Robert Redford, Sundance Channel offers audiences a diverse and engaging selection of award-winning independent films, documentaries and original programs. Many movies from the Sundance Film Festival are seen exclusively and for the first time on Sundance Channel.
Rich Hill – January 23rd
Documentary set in Rich Hill, an impoverished Midwestern town that used to be a thriving mining town. Follows three boys: Andrew, Harley, Appachey, as they navigate their family, their dreams, and the reality around them.
Dinosaur 13 – January 24th

Lock Charmer – January 25th
This film follows Sebastian, a locksmith who has a problem committing to his (pregnant) girlfriend Monica. After discovering a strange power – he gets visions of clients’ lives while fixing their locks – he is forced to examine his own life choices.
The Summit – January 26th
Documents a calamitous expedition up K2, the second-highest peak in the world. This film explores what happened to a group of 24 climbers — 11 of whom were killed or vanished during a trek to the summit.
Liar’s Dice – January 27th
Liar’s Dice is a 2013 Hindi, road drama film, written and directed by Geetu Mohandas. The film deals with the issue of the human cost of migration to cities and the issue of migrant labourers and their exploitation, through the story of young mother, living in remote village, whose husband goes missing after having left to work many months ago.
To Kill A Man (Matar A Un Hombre) – January 28th
A hard-working and poor Jorge and his family are terrorised by local criminal Kalule’s clan. Jorge’s teenage son boldly tries to stand up for his father, in result Kalule shoots the boy. Jorge and his wife, Martha, seek justice from the legal system but all their efforts goes to vain. As Kalule is released after his two years sentence in prison. Jorge becomes ready to defend his family.
