A treat for BlackBerry® fans!

You probably heard us raving about the latest cool kid on the block yesterday, right before we headed out to the official (#bbm7my) media preview at Saloma Theatre Restaurant, Kuala Lumpur!

The verdict?

We were more impressed than we had expected to be! The hands on experience with The BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 was, in short, breathtaking. Of course, we didn’t spend a lot of time with it but still, it was a decent amount to know that it certainly would be BlackBerry®’s most revolutionary smartphone to date.

The new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 is super slim and light to hold, but sturdy because of its stainless steel frame. And it seems like they took a example from their The BlackBerry® Bold™ 9000 because the edges are more curved now, which would make it’s appearance less masculine and a lot harder to dent or scratch unnecessarily. A lot sexier too.

Upon first “meeting”, the multi-touch display exuded brilliant hues although it’s not extremely large. We had the opportunity to “poke around” and we found that the responsiveness surpasses that of all the older BlackBerry® touchscreen smartphones.

Of course, the fact that the new BlackBerry® Bold™ 9900 is packed with the BlackBerry® 7 OS and a 1.2 GHz processor also speaks volumes for its performance. Is the retail price of RM2, 188 worth it? Dare we say no?

On top of that, we also had the opportunity to “meet” three other new BlackBerry® smartphones. They too, did not disappoint!

The BlackBerry® Torch 9810.

The BlackBerry® Torch 9860.

The BlackBerry® Curve 9360.

Different in their own ways, all of the above will have only one thing in common – they will all run on the new BlackBerry® 7 OS. Which basically means that they will all be given the power to perform regardless of its core functions. That said, you BlackBerry® lovers would be hard-pressed to find a faster, sleeker smartphone to better suit your lifestyle elsewhere.
