Firefly in a jar

Remember this?

Now, there’s yet another “pet” you can keep without potentially murdering it and driving animal activists completely bonkers.

Much like the “Butterfly in a Jar”, this tiny little starlit thing will wake up and flitter around the jar with a few taps whilst emitting a calming and dreamy glow. We suppose it’s quite therapeutic to watch in dim lighting or in a dark room, right before bed. Sure the “Butterfly in a Jar” is all sorts of charming, but this firefly will take all kinds of magic to a whole new level.

It really does look real, doesn’t it? So much so that you can even pretend it’s a fairy (if you really want). We wouldn’t advise trying to bottle up Tinkerbell though! Each jar of (oh wonderful childhood dream made possible) will cost you USD19.99 (RM57).

There are four colours available to choose from. This magical little thing will either glow in blue, green, pink, or the traditional green coloured hue – just like real-life fireflies. And, of course, the best part of it all is that your pet firefly will never die unless if it runs out of batteries. At which point you would just need to replace them and then hello flecks of light all over again.
