Looking for everything you need for your little one? Well, let us introduce to you: Sprouts, the first ever 3-storey multidisciplinary healthcare specialist and development centre in Malaysia was launched today with the presence of Professor Dr. Raman Subramaniam of Fetal Medicine and Gynaecology Centre (FMGC), and the bubbly 5-year-old Chef Leah. The grand opening was also graced by prominent personalities with the likes of Ning Baizura, Zainal Abidin, Nurul Wahab as well as Asha Gill.

Encompassing four key pillars of specialty services namely Kids’ Clinic, Kids’ Retail Pharmacy, Kids’ Development Club and Kids’ Bookstore, the sprawling 14,000 square-foot located in The School at Jaya One provides a vast range of services and facilities to cater to the needs of young growing families.

“At Sprouts, we believe in putting the care of children back into the hands of parents by empowering them with educational experiences. It is important for parents to engage with other parents to share similar experiences, whilst regularly connecting to experts from Sprouts and other outside organizations and associations in order to open up new mindsets,” said Charles Wong, founder and Executive Director of Sprouts Kids Sdn Bhd. “This community effort is part of Sprouts’ long term initiatives to broaden parents’ knowledge so that they are able to nurture their children’s health and wellbeing,” he added.

In line with current pediatric needs, Sprouts offers allergy clinics, growth clinics and services pertaining to all developmental aspects of a child. This is in addition to general pediatric clinics, which looks after general health and vaccinations. From a child who stammers, to a child who needs help changing their behavior, The Kids’ Development Club team comprises of speech therapists, occupational therapists, orthoptists, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) consultants, Early Intervention Programmes (EIP) consultants and psychologists, as well as osteopathy treatment by One Osteo.

“The exciting part of Sprouts is establishing a useful and meaningful space for children and families.  Our handpicked team of professionals has spent their careers dedicated to the care of the minds, bodies and hearts of little people. To have these specialists, in a community setting designed just for children is very special,” said Dr. Chow Su Lin, co-founder of Sprouts.

Other noteworthy facilities include two dedicated children’s play areas, flexible and easy payment systems, free wireless Internet, breastfeeding rooms, easy check-in and queue notification via text message for patients.

By January next year, Sprouts will expand its services under its Kids’ Development Club to include breastfeeding clinics, sleep clinics and family and marriage counseling. The Kids’ Bookstore and Kids’ Retail Pharmacy in Sprouts operate daily from 10am – 10pm, whereas Kids’ Clinic is open from 10am – 2pm, and 5pm – 9pm on weekdays, followed by 10am until 2pm on the weekends. The Kids’ Developmental Club is run on an appointment basis.
