Yunalis Mat Zara’ai, or Yuna, is no stranger to the global music industry. Despite many headlines about her being both a contemporary Muslim fashion icon and a music sensation in the Asia and in the U.S., Yuna’s personal life is still a mystery to many of her fans. However, all this will change when E! News Asia Special: Yuna premieres on Tuesday, 25 November 2014 at 10pm, exclusively on E! (Astro Channel 712).
E! News Asia host, George Young, spends the day uncovering Yuna’s background and how she went from a law student to music sensation. She also opens up about the pressures of handling stardom on an international level, her love life, and how the hijab has become a part of her image. Viewers will also learn that her rising fame and success did not come easy. Yuna has overcome many hurdles, and yet remains true to herself as well as her fans.
Yuna’s E! News Asia Special follows a number of regional profiles featuring Philippines’ Piolo Pascual and Anne Curtis, South Korea’s Jay Park, Singapore’s Aaron Aziz and Malaysia’s Lisa Surihani. E! has been expanding its presence in the Asian entertainment industry, through original programming such as It Takes GUTZ To Be A Gutierrez (Philippines) and the upcoming docudrama Facing Up To Fazura, which follows the life of sensational Malaysian actress/socialite Nur Fazura.
