Halston Heritage, the luxury lifestyle brand that blends modern aesthetics with legacy codes from the iconic American fashion house of Halston, has invigorated the Malaysian fashion scene with its first store in Kuala Lumpur, occupying a retail space of 1200 sqm at Level 3, Pavilion KL.
Just as the collection highlights on bringing Halston’s rich heritage to life, the store concept is inspired from all aspects of Halston past and present – including the architectural aspects of founder Roy Halston Frowick’s famed New York townhouse, homages to his love of the theatre and ballet, as well as elements from the nightlife he adored.
Founded by Roy Halston Frowick in the 1960’s, the Halston label took the fashion industry by storm with impeccable designs and visionary style, which still influence and inspire fashion designers today. Once dubbed ‘The Premier Fashion Designer in America’ by Newsweek, Halston was synonymous with the 1970’s era of Studio 54. His love for pop culture was evident through his friends and clients, who included Andy Warhol, Bianca Jagger, Elizabeth Taylor and Anjelica Houston.
Halston Heritage has been worn by modern style icons including Gisele Bundchen, Lady Gaga, Kerry Washington and Halle Berry among others, and is carried by some of the world’s most formidable retailers including Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-A-Porter and Harvey Nichols. The Halston Heritage premier flagship opened in March 2013 on New York City’s Madison Avenue, marking the brand’s return to the iconic street 45 years after Roy Halston Frowick opened his first store at the same area in 1968.
