Now, who says you need to go clubbing to have fun? If you are not fond of clubbing or if you are looking to head out for drinks on a weekday, hit a bar or a pub! We live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and honestly, our city never sleeps. Even on weekdays, our nightlife scene is pretty fantastic.
Here is a list of bars you should pay a visit:
1. Barfly, KL
Located at Publika and Solaris Mont Kiara, Barfly is the place to be if you are looking for cheap drinks. With beers going for RM10.00 and Guinness Stout going for RM13.00 all night long, Barfly is open from 4.30pm to 1.00am on a daily basis. Apart from the drinks, Barfly has good snacks too.
If tender pork dishes and frozen margaritas are what you are looking for, then 42 East is the place for you. Open everyday except for Mondays, 42 East is located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and has an amazing deal for ladies every Wednesday night.
3. Sid’s Pub
Serving the most creamy and delicious pints of Guinness Stout, Sid’s Pub is perfect for Guinness lovers. Located in Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Taman Tun Dr. Ismail and Bangsar South, Sid’s Pub is also the place for you to head to catch a game of football.
4. Tom, Dick & Harry’s: Pub+Grub
Living up to it’s motto: “Mou Man Tai”, which means “No Problem” in Cantonese when translated to English, Tom, Dick & Harry’s (TDH) is your perfect neighbourhood pub that also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Old Klang Road and Pavilion, TDH is the place to be for a fun-filled night out. Also, if you are looking for good live music, the outlet in Pavilion has a band that performs there.
Chilled, classy yet casual The Social Bistro & Bar is a place where you can enjoy good food, good drinks and a round of pool with your buddies. The outlet is Bangsar has a promotion of RM60 nett for three pints of Tiger beer and RM66 nett for three pints of Kilkenny and Guinness Stout. The Social also has another outlet in Publika.
Located in Sri Hartamas, Backyard Pub & Grill is one of the best bars to go for good music! Known for featuring some the best local live bands, Backyard also offers pool tables for customers to enjoy a game or two, televisions for football fans and drinks as well as good food at a reasonable price.
The name says it all. The Whisky Bar in Changkat, Bukit Bintang is definitely a must visit by all whisky enthusiast. With a current selection of over 275 labels from around the world, The Whisky Bar offers the rarest single malts and exquisite blends to all-time favourites.
