Kodawari Menta recently held its grand opening for its first outlet in Malaysia that is located in 1 Mont Kiara. The brand is known for their famed udon noodle that has its origins in the Sanuki province of Japan and are made from superior wheat flour, water and salt. It is then left to rest, cut and eventually kneaded to form the round-fisted Genki-Dama round chunks that has a soft, pliable consistency – as each succulent strand will attest.
The technique to create the signature broth took 383 attempts with rare sugar that is both healthy and irresistibly delicious. The first outlet was opened in Marugame, Kagawa and since then, there has been nine outlets and even a branch in Taipei, Taiwan.
“We are proud to be appointed the hosts of Kodawari Menya in Malaysia, ” said Elvin Siew, director of Nippon Delicious. “The authencity of how the udon noodles are prepared is beyond reproach and Kodawari Menya here at 1 Mont Kiara is the first Japanese udon brand to originate from Kagawa, Japan. It doesn’t get any better than this. And I still recommend slurping your noddles because that’s the only way to truly enjoy it. There are 9 methods in which udon is served at Kodawari Menya, so take your pick and also sample the rest of the Japanese fare that are available. It’s a true Japanese dining experience unlike any other.”
Kodawari Menya is located at L1-21A, Level 1, 1 Mont Kiara, 1 Jalan Kiara, 50480, Kuala Lumpur. For more information, visit their website.
