Angelina Jolie has just become an honorary Dame!
The Oscar-winning actress was honoured with the title of Honorary Dame in a private ceremony on Friday at Buckingham Palace, where she met the Queen of England, Elizabeth II.
Her official title is Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.
In June, it was revealed that the star would be honoured by the Queen after her work with the Preventing Sexual Assault Initiative and her humanitarian work abroad.
“To receive an honor related to foreign policy means a great deal to me, as it is what I wish to dedicate my working life to,” Angelina reportedly mentioned. “Working on PVSI and with survivors of rape is an honor in itself. I know that succeeding in our goals will take a lifetime, and I am dedicated to it for all of mine.”
Her hubby, Brad Pitt and their six children were also in attendance at the ceremony.
Jolie looked effortlessly gorgeous in a light grey suit from Ralph & Russo’s Spring 2014 collection. It also features the Queen’s preferred long hem length.
Congratulations on the title!
