It has gone all crazy in the “Land of the Rising Sun” with throngs of girls rushing to pick up their Hada Labo loot every few seconds. We figured, it was only a matter of time before it reaches our shores and takes us by storm.
And take us by storm it did!
Hada Labo, an affordable (prices ranging from RM16.90 to RM59.90). Japanese skincare brand under the Rotho-Menthalotum umbrella has three main product ranges under their wing:
1. Hada Labo AHA/BHA
(picture not available)
2. Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening
3. Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing
Their star product, of course, is the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion, which has commanded such a high demand amongst the Japanese (and now Malaysians) because in every four seconds, one bottle of that is sold!
The tagline says, “1 drop to lock up and ocean”. Sounds a little bit too poetic to understand but in layman’s terms, it basically means that it locks moisture in your skin so that your skin is better moisturized, and stays hydrated for a longer time after the initial application. It contains twice the moisture retention capacity of the normal Hyaluronic Acid (one gram of Hyaluronic Acid holds up to six liters of water).
We took the liberty of testing out this product ourselves but not before watching this video:
Oh how cute. And true! The application isn’t complicated, and all you need to do is to pat and press the lotion into your skin. The Hado Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Lotion (lotion in Japanese terms but to us, it would be better known as “toner) takes a little while to dry when first patted in but after a few pats and presses, the texture will feel just a little sticky as your skin absorbs the moisture.
The verdict? Well, what would you say to supple skin all day?
“Yes please”?
