When we attended the 2014 Water Camp by Laneige, there were heaps of fun activities all related to the Korean brand’s Water Bank Series. Besides skincare, Laneige launched a range of lip tints with a watery finish, giving you the glossiest lips with a tint effect, making your lip colour last longer.
I’m sure most of us marvel at any new Korean beauty trend and one of the more popular ones these days would be ombre lips or gradient lips. But honestly, it’s one of those things that look super difficult to not only pull off but to put on as well.
At least, that’s what I thought until the experts at Laneige showed us how. Using the new Water Drop Tint, here’s how you can achieve a stunning ombre lip look in three easy peasy steps:
1. Dab and cover lips with Laneige BB Cushion to create an even canvas.
2. Select your choice of Water Drop Tint from the ten shades available.
3. Starting from the inner part of your lips, apply three small dots and blend gently from left to right (do this only on the inner part of lips!), followed by spreading the tint using a light dabbing motion moving towards the outer part of lips. Do this on both your top and bottom lip. You can use the applicator or a lip brush but to achieve a gradient effect, it’s much better to use your finger.
