Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Clooney!
George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin in a private ceremony in Venice, Italy on Saturday over the weekend in the presence of family members and friends.
They also filed the paperwork that will make their union official on Monday.
Celebrity friends such as Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Bono travelled to the wedding via taxi boats. Clooney and his bride arrived in Venice on Friday and the two headed out for respective evenings of pre-partying. Amal enjoyed ladies night while Clooney had dinner and drinks with a bunch of gents.
Clooney popped the big question in April after a whirlwind seven-month courtship, presenting Amal with a 7-carat emerald-cut diamond ring set in platinum, which was estimated to have cost $750,000.
The lovebirds were first romantically linked in October 2013 and months later, they were spotted together in the Seychelles before embarking on a safari in Tanzania.
This is the second marriage for Clooney, who was married to Mad Men‘s Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
Their wedding extravaganza also cost a bomb! The Italian ceremony and festivities leading up to it could add up to a grand total of nearly $4.6 million.
For the wedding night, Clooney put on a custom-made Giorgio Armani suit which cost over $5,000, while Alamuddin’s custom-made Alexander McQueen dress designed by Sarah Burton was roughly $380,000.
Congratulations, you two!
