There’s no place like home, however in this case, there is no place like House.
Nestled in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, House restaurant, bar and winepost welcomes you to a warm and cozy hideout. It is almost like you’ve been transported into a lush greenery in the middle of the hustle and bustle of our concrete jungle, Kuala Lumpur.
The fine establishment features a contemporary yet unassuming wooden panes design and plenty of greenery to create a bright and cozy ambiance.
House’s menu offers something for everybody. Customers are really spoilt for choice when it comes to the food served at House as they serve Asian and Western fusion fare. And not forgetting handcrafted cocktails to start off the night with!
Begin your culinary journey, with a hearty cup of House’s signature wild mushroom soup. The soup comes in a cappuccino cup with a thin layer of cream, so before having a scoop, stir it first and then enjoy!
Next up, pizza chicken satay! Oh yes, great for munching with a group of friends over a couple pints. Tiny chunks of turmeric-marinated chicken layered on top of sweet peanut sauce with melted mozzarella cheese.
The baked atlantic cod fish was definitely one of the main highlights of the evening. It was perfectly cooked, with a good amount of truffle cream to elevate the dish and the flavours.
Not too keen on having western for dinner? Have a go with their version of the famous lamb Rogan Josh. This dish comes with aloo gobi, chana masala, basmati rice, cucumber raita and papadam for that extra crunch!
Last but not least, we ended the night with a couple of House’s latest addition to their existing cocktail menu. I am personally quite a picky cocktail drinker and I was pleasantly surprised with what they had to offer.
Da Monica’s – Pinkish-red in colour with an orange twirl garnish to top it up, prominent strawberry flavour with hints of refreshing mint and of course a slight buzz at the end from the vodka.
Da Matt Melon – Don’t be alarmed by the funky green colouring, this is a pretty decent cocktail. Cucumber dominates the flavour palate with a good amount of alcohol to keep you up all night! Oh, and we must say how refreshing this cocktail is!
Thanks to the Assistant General Manager of House, here’s a how-to video of the making of Da Monica for you to try it out at home!
