This is something you definitely don’t want to wake up to! It has been reported that nearly 5 million combinations of Gmail usernames and passwords were published in a text file on a Russian Bitcoin forum, containing information on English, Russian, and Spanish speaking users of Google’s services, including Gmail and Google Plus.
Just when you thought it wouldn’t get any worse, the leak also included thousands of user credentials for Yandex, the largest search engine in Russia. Check out the screen shot below:
Don’t panic just yet! You can find out if your account is included in the leak by inputting your address here. Also, as a precaution, you should change your password. Choose a long one that combines both alphabets and numbers, and make sure you turn on the 2-step verification for your account.
