The world has been waiting for September 9 for what seems like forever. Apple was to announce it’s latest product along with introducing the next generation of iPhones. The Apple launch, which took place earlier this morning (local time), was exciting, surprisingly expected and also a little weird – like when Bono and Tim Cook touched fingers? What does that even mean?
Like a lot of Apple fans around the world, I was very, very excited to see the new generation of iPhones mostly because both models are significantly bigger than the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S, especially the iPhone 6 Plus. Compared to the tiny 4-inch iPhones, the 6 Plus is a giant 5.5 inches. Yeah, swallow that! It also features a new Retina HD display that has dual-domain pixels so that it gives a wider field of view.
And much like the model you aspire to be, the iPhone 6 Plus is thinner. The current iPhone 5s is 7.6mm and the 6 Plus boasts a slender 7.1mm. Of course, what would the iPhone be without it’s perfect finish? The 6 Plus features an anodised aluminium finish, stainless steel Apple log and a stunning glass display that curves into the sides.
Currently, the iPhone 6 Plus can be purchased in the US for $299, while the 6 is going for $199 and international prices are yet to be announce. The phones are available in three colours – Black, White and Space Grey and there is also a whopping 128GG option. The latest iPhone will be in stores from September 19th in nine countries worldwide, which of course includes the United States. Apple also said that rest of the world will have to wait till end of this year, which is when it will be made available.
I don’t know about you guys but I cannot wait any longer for this phablet to arrive!
