If you can’t live without your smartphone, you’d be glad to know that you can soon use WiFi on board your AirAsia flights!
The airline has recently activated its on board WiFi testing, which is ahead of the scheduled launch at the end of 2014.
Instant messaging, emails and content streaming would gradually be made available on all its flights.
This means that you can use your favourite instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp, LINE and WeChat. You’ll never be disconnected during a long haul flight again!
As for the cost, AirAsia group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes mentioned that the services would be affordably priced.
AirAsia also said that 60 guests per flight would be given the chance to participate in the testing of the on board WiFi within the next two months.
