Want to know how Pippa Middleton maintains her fit and gorgeous bod?
The 30-year-old recently participated in the Bosphorus Cross Continental Swimming Race in Istanbul and revealed her healthy eating habits to get in tip-top shape for the big athletic event.
She explained that “wholesome carbs” like quinoa, brown rice and lentils were essential for preparing for the race.
“To maintain energy I try to eat more protein, particularly fish or chicken,” Kate Middleton’s sister mentioned. “A lot of people swear by carb-loading in the run-up to an event but it doesn’t really work for me, so I just up my protein intake.”
Clearly, Pippa’s high-protein diet worked! She completed the race in one hour and five minutes, beating her brother James Middleton.
“He said if he’d shaved, he would have beaten me,” she joked to reporters after the event.
She added, “Nothing could have prepared me for the experience of the race itself in Istanbul…The swim requires not only speed and athleticism but also the nous to navigate yourself on the right course.”
