With 1.5 million followers on Instagram, Liam Martin is super popular on the social media platform and it’s not hard to see why.
The 17-year-old New Zealander has been recreating photos of female celebrities perfectly, complete with costumes and wigs.
Martin told BuzzFeed that he originally started taking these bold and creative photos as it was “something completely different from the norm.”
His masterpieces include high-profile celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and Beyoncé. Besides celebs, he also recreates popular fictional characters from blockbuster movies as well as Disney classics.
He also revealed that he sometimes receives horrible comments on his photos. “So many people can’t embrace difference,” he explained. However, he has also received comments from people thanking him for helping them feel more comfortable in their own skin.
He added, “I get people telling me that I teach them to not be afraid to do something different.”
Martin has also made a video in which he speaks out against online bullying and the issues of self-harm and suicide.
In the future, Martin said he hopes to travel to America and meet all his supporters.
