Vending Machines Feed Strays Until They Can Be Adopted

This is something that I strongly feel we should practice, here in Malaysia. Often you hear people treating not just strays but their own pets like, well to put as light as I can, pieces of sh*t. While we may have a growing number of strays (because people think it’s cruel to spay or neutur their pets, when it’s actually not)  in Malaysia, in Istanbul there are about 150, 000 strays!

These 150, 000 something stray cat and dogs roam the streets with 14 million people in the country. Unfortunately, even though there are so many human beings residing in this country, most of them refuse to give these animal food, water and shelter.

But lucky for them, a Turkish company called Pugedon thought it was time to create awesome vending machines that provides for the stray animals. The machines also works as a recycling utility, which helps keep trash off of the streets and its city clean.

The vending machines have the ability to store and feed the strays, which can be found in parks or public areas located in various parts of Istanbul. The vending machines also encourages the public to throw empty plastic bottles and once that’s done, a bunch of kibble will be distributed into the pet bowls. The vending machines also provide water for the stray animals of Turkey.

Because the government didn’t have to fork out a cent for these brilliant contraption, it allows for Pugedon to place them wherever they liked! With all the recyclable materials that are being deposited into the machine, the company is able to buy food for the strays and store them in each vending machine.
