[STYLE GUIDE] 5 Different Looks With Topshop’s A/W 2014 Collection

The Topshop Autumn/Winter 2014 collection campaign is out and we’re so excited! This time, the collection consists of three themes, namely Soir, Rumours and Motocross.

Soir reframes event dressing with decadent embellishment, featuring modern fabrication and a minimal palette. Dresses are seductively nonchalant, while texture plays on a smart/casual message of urban sophistication and fabulousness.

Rumours features feminine dresses in weightless chiffon, shielded by swooping blanket coats and warming tobacco suedes. Bountiful shearling offers a chic, yet cosy antidote to the elements while the artisan appeal of modern patch-working and denim hold strong.

Motocross defines sportswear for a new generation – tough girl leathers and denim ablaze with patches, zippy mini-skirts and bombers. BMX-bandits and tech addicts unite, driven by the desire for punchy brights and graphic monochrome pieces.

We also played around with the pieces from Topshop’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection and put together five different looks to inspire you when you shop, so have a look below!

Look 1: We paired this unique pinafore mid-length playsuit with a cropped turtle neck top, plus some rugged boots and a fringed clutch for a casual yet dressed up look.

Look 2: For corporate working women out there who desire to look striking in the boardroom, we put together this black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, a nicely-fitted blazer, sexy chunky heels as well as a faux snakeskin carry-all to store all your essentials. Remove the blazer and you’d have a glamorous look for night time!

Look 3: This look is fun, chic and is perfect for day or night. The sequinned top adds a touch of drama while the denim jeans with colourful badge appliqué keeps the entire look fun and impulsive, in a good way.

Look 4: We love midi skirts to death, but they can sometimes come off as way too feminine. Hence, we paired this pretty pleated number with a floral printed bomber jacket and some platform loafers to rough up the look.

Look 5: The intricate lace detailing on this dress is exquisite! We paired this dress with some strappy red heels for that added sex appeal, a small shoulder bag to store some important items and a statement leather jacket for a more rugged feel.
