Good quality dresses and gowns cost a bomb, and let’s face it – you wouldn’t be caught dead in the same piece twice, especially when it involves fancy occasions with tons of your acquaintances present. But now, with Malaysia’s first online designer evening wear rental portal, Rent A Dress, open for business, you’ll never face the same problem again!

Rent A Dress offers a rental service of designer evening and cocktail gowns for approximately 10% of the dresses’ original retail price for four days at a time. The site currently offers a range of dresses from 15 different international labels, such as Badgley Mischka, Marchesa Notte, Halston Heritage and David Meister. These dresses that normally retail for RM1,000-RM3,800 can be rented from RM75-RM380. Soon, the site will also offer pieces by our local Malaysian designers.

Once an order is placed, the dress will reach the customer on the date specified for the special event. Customers may keep the dress for four days after which a courier service will collect the dress back from them. If you’re worried whether or not the dress is the right fit for you, Rent A Dress also has a Try It On service, whereby customers may order the dress for RM15 to be returned within 24 hours.

As of now, Rent A Dress only offers one size per dress, but the site will gradually add wider range of sizes for each dress in the following months.
