A Malaysia Airlines passenger jet flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur has crashed in Ukraine.
The aircraft was carrying 295 passengers and crew and Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that they have lost contact with the aircraft. Interfax has reported that the Boeing 777 jet crashed in Eastern Ukraine, near the Russian border. MH17 was travelling on a regular route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur and was scheduled to arrive early tomorrow morning.
The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has reported that none survived the crash. The jet was shot down by Russia-armed separatists.
