Kristin Russell’s stepdad, Dave, had to sell his beloved 1973 Porsche 914 2.0L due to various financial reasons after marrying her mother.
So, Kristin wanted to give her stepdad his Porsche back on Father’s Day.
She spent two years searching for the exact 1973 model and eventually travelled 700 miles from Pennsylvania to Arizona when she finally found the right one. She transported it to a mechanic in Philadelphia, and the Porsche was ready just in time for Father’s Day.
Dave was completely shocked and was overwhelmed with emotions when he saw the car. He then embraced Kristin while other family members looked on.
He got in the vehicle, relived his youth, played with the pop-up headlights and drove off down the road.
Kristin said it felt great to “do something nice for a guy who has always done absolutely anything he could for me.”
She wouldn’t reveal the price to her stepfather, but the car insurance company estimates that this model costs $14,822.
