A happy family was about to break their fast when things turned sour last Sunday. Four siblings are now being treated at the hospital for food poisoning after consuming roti John which was purchased from a Ramadan bazaar.
The victims are known as Nurul Qaisarah Hamdan, 13, Muhammad Qayyim, 11, Nur Qatrunnada, 9, and Nurul Qasihdayana, 4.
Three out of five siblings suffered food poisoning and they were admitted to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah hospital in Klang on Tuesday after vomiting and experiencing diarrhea.
The victims’ father, Hamdan Mohd Nasir, 40, said Nurul Qaisarah was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday after suffering the same symptoms.
The victims’ father mentioned that he had bought three packs of roti John. Half of that was given to his eldest son, 15, but his other son, Muhammad Qayyim, was the one that was in the most pain.
Besides vomiting and diarrhea, the victims also experienced muscle cramps.
