Nothing says “I love mum” like a spectacular display of ‘Love Me, Love Mum’ splashed across the Spanish Steps of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Curtis Kulig, the artist behind this remarkable work of art, made a trip to Kuala Lumpur for an intimate media meet-and-greet session. During this session, Kulig shared with the media his personal journey as an artist and explained how ‘Love Me’ was brought to life.
‘Love Me’ began in 2005 as a personal sentiment and quickly evolved into an icon, with Kulig’s simple, impulsive, two-word manifesto spotted in cities ranging from Paris to Istanbul, Los Angeles to Berlin, taking form on rich canvases, metal sculptures and fluid neons.
‘Love Me, Love Mum’ is part of a world of artistic fusion between globally-renowned brand LeSportsac and internationally-acclaimed New York street artist Curtis Kulig, whose ‘Love Me’ campaign has made him an international star. LeSportsac’s on-going collaboration with Kulig has resulted in a partnership with Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as the host for the introduction to an exclusive Summer 2014 collection inspired by Kulig’s notable ‘Love Me’ artwork.
For this exclusive collection available at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, Kulig created a series of original designs for LeSportsac that range from playful watercolours and swirly scripts to bright, bold marks of his signature statement. The New York-based artist drew inspiration from classic New York summer hotspots.
