We haven’t tried their makeup before, so we picked up two products – an eyeliner and a lipstick – to be tested out. We were sort of sceptical at first, but boy are we surprised! Read on to find out more.
Deep Look Dipliner – FCC has plenty of eyeliners and we decided to go with this one, which is a liquid liner, as you can tell from the photo above. We really like the brush that comes with this liner and it makes application very easy. The brush tip is firm, yet it is super gentle on the skin and glides on very smoothly. This gives us proper control of the brush and lining my eyes was a breeze. Compared to other eyeliners with a brush type tip that isn’t as firm, the brush sometimes splays when you use it, causing a mess on your eyelids. If you’re just starting out with liquid eyeliner, we would suggest going with this one.
With just one stroke of the brush, the colour payoff is really good. The liner is very black and opaque, hence, you wouldn’t need a second coat to darken the line when applying this liner. However, you should wait at least 60 seconds for the first coat to dry before you can go over the liner as it will rub off easily when it is still wet. As for its staying power, we were very impressed. It lasts all day, doesn’t smudge or transfer and it is also budge-proof. We don’t know if it is waterproof though. Some eyeliners stain the skin and is tough to remove, but this eyeliner came off very easily with my cleansing oil.
True Colour Lipstick in 08 – First of all, can we just talk about the amazing colour of this lipstick? This shade of red is perfect and isn’t too in your face, which makes it suitable for everyday wear if you’d like, or on days when you want your lip colour to pop. If you’re sensitive to scents, you should know that this lipstick smells sweet and pleasant. It isn’t too strong and it didn’t bother me.
Just look at the colour pigmentation it gives off! With just one swipe, the colour looks fantastic on the lips and it isn’t too shiny. We wouldn’t say this is a semi-matte lipstick, but it leans towards that end on the scale. The lipstick glides on very smoothly and it doesn’t highlight the ridges or cracks on the lips like some lipsticks do. The formula of the lipstick itself is creamy, hydrating and very comfortable to wear. What I love about it the most is that it is super long-lasting and stays on the entire day, even without reapplying the product midday. After eating and drinking, the colour still looks really good and it doesn’t fade off throughout the day. I really love this lipstick and I cannot say enough good things about it.
