Nokia Lumia, one of the cheapest line of cellphone in the market today can be described as “bulletproof,” as a Lumia 520 saved a man’s life yesterday during a robbery.
On Thursday afternoon in Araraquara, Brasil, an off-duty cop went to his parents’ home with the intention to ask his mother to wash his uniform for him. When the 24-year-old military police officer arrived at the house, he discovered that his parents were being held hostages by two robbers.
One of them fired two bullets at the 24-year-old after seeing the uniform in his hands, the criminals realized he was a police officer. Luckily, one bullet missed the intended target, while the second hit the buttocks of the man, but he was not hurt because the bullet was stopped by the cellphone in his pocket.
The smartphone was obviously destroyed, but it literally saved its owner’s bottom, who escaped unharmed form the incident.
