Really, Target?
Photoshop fails have become super common and it’s really no surprise that Target is the most recent culprit to distort a model.
A major fail, the store’s website features a photo of a teen model wearing a two-piece leopard print swimsuit. In what appears to be an attempt to make her legs look longer, bottom half look smaller and possibly, to add to her thigh gap, the model is missing a part of her vagina in the photo.
The photo has since been removed from the website, but not before Jezebel had noticed it. It clearly shows that there has been a square cut out of the bottom where her crotch is.
The youngster wasn’t the only victim of Target’s epic Photoshop disaster. Similarly, in another image, a young model appears to be poorly edited and, again, the amateur photo editors have removed a large chunk of the poor girl’s crotch.
The only thing worse than retouching adult models is retouching junior models, who market to younger girls.
Maybe Target should follow after Aerie and use unairbrushed photos of models instead.
