Taking a step back from the harsh speculation, rumours, and theories, we show our support by compiling pictures and stories of the people on the MH370 flight.

Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah is a passionate 53-year-old Pilot from Penang. An avid chef and skilled handyman, Captain Zaharie joined the airlines in 1981 and has a total of 18,365 flying hours.

Co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid (left) is seen with CNN reporter Richard Quest. Fariq is the youngest son of Selangor Public Works Department deputy director Abdul Hamid Mad Daud. He started his career with Malaysia Airlines in 2007 and has locked in more than 2,763 flying hours. Fariq was praised by Richard for his ‘text-book perfect’ landing when being filmed for a CNN program.
