S. Sarwindren, a 30-year-old operations officer of a security firm was brought to a Magistrate’s Court on Monday as he was being charged for murdering his girlfriend at an apartment in Bandar Sunway last month.
The suspect was accused of killing 27-year-old Pakizah Raja Khan, who was a supervisor for a call service centre in a bank. He allegedly committed the crime at a unit in Lagoon Perdana Apartment, Bandar Sunway between 8.50pm on February 17th and 1.41am on February 18th.
If convicted, the offence under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries a mandatory death sentence. No plea was recorded by the suspect.
Magistrate K. B. Eleena Hong Tze Lan then fixed April 15th for mention.
The report on February 19th stated that a 27-year-old woman had died from a fractured skull and other severe injuries and members of her family had allegedly confronted her 30-year-old boyfriend and assaulted him.
It was learnt that the man was allegedly set upon by members of the woman’s family who accused him of beating her up.
Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Ramli said the case had been classified as murder and he declined to comment when asked if Pakizah’s boyfriend was beaten up by her family members.
