“All you need is love is a lie ’cause, we had enough but we still said goodbye” – John Mayer
John Mayer and Katy Perry have called it quits and a source close to the former couple told E! News that the Dark Horse singer’s upcoming world tour has always been a big issue for the duo. The source also said that Katy is definitely putting her work first, however, adds that it is unclear whether or not her upcoming tour was the main reason behind the split.
Katy is fully booked from May till November, after recently adding another leg of her tour.
Katy announced on Twitter that she will be spending November in Australia and New Zealand.
“PERTH, ADELAIDE, MELBOURNE, SYDNEY, BRISBANE! I’ll be seeing YOU this November! Stay tuned for MORE info,” she wrote. She followed up with another tweet saying: “And don’t worry, New Zealand… I’m coming to see you kiwis too! Dates announced soon!”
Katy isn’t the only who’s busy as John is also scheduled for a worldwide tour from April to June.
Though the duo have been surrounded by engagement rumours for a while now, there were signs showing trouble in paradise for them both. John was noticeably absent from Katy’s side on her recent trip to London and Milan, and she returned home to Los Angeles on Friday as her ex-boyfriend remained in New York.
