Taylor Swift‘s Rhode Island mansion situated on the public beach of Watch Hill is starting to get on her neighbor’s nerves. According to reports, Watch Hill locals aren’t pleased with the pop star’s unfriendly security guards, and what she’s doing to get rid of those pesky tourists who flood there with hopes of catching a glimpse of her.
So what’s Taylor’s solution to the situation? To build a giant wall out of big rocks that are being pulled from the ocean, of course! Taylor’s US$17.7 million mansion (of which she paid for in cash) features eight bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, and a 700 feet of waterfront. The Grammy award winner is now adding a rock wall to the property.
According to reports, Rhode Island’s Coastal Resources Management Council is keeping a strict eye on Taylor’s house project. Laura Dwyer, a spokeswoman for the council said, “They are doing just what they said they would be doing.” She added that none of the changes should affect access to the public beach for surfers.
A newspaper reported that “a number of phone calls to state and local officials” were received from Swift’s neighbors regarding the project. It is also said that Taylor is spending multiple million dollars on her wall.
Perhaps we can expect a song regarding a wall she’s putting up in her next album.
