Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is taking a big step in protecting the environment. The “Go Green Car-Free Morning” is a new plan that will close Kuala Lumpur’s busiest streets every first Sunday morning of the month in 2014. According to the Car-Free Morning organizing committee chairman Datuk Naim Mohamad, the plan will be a really bold step to save Kuala Lumpur’s ecosystem.
He said, “Lately, the world has been struck by seismic climate change such as Typhoon Haiyan, snow in the Middle East and the floods in the east coast. It should be ample notice to humankind to look after Earth”.
“Going green, going car-free and increasing public transport is the way forward to preserve Mother Earth,” he added.
