The 19-year-old pop sensation, Justin Bieber, appeared on L.A.’s Power 106 radio on Tuesday for an interview on Big Boy’s Neighborhood and said that he’d be quitting music after his next album, “Journals”.
The news went viral after a short video clip from the interview was released. Some celebrated with joy while the Beliebers were left saddened with the news. Justin Bieber said, “After the new album, I’m actually, I’m retiring man, I’m retiring.”
On Wednesday, however, the full interview surfaced and Justin Bieber was heard elaborating on his comment about retiring from the industry.
“I’m just gonna take some time. I think I’m probably going to quit music,” he said. “…No, no, I’m just quitting music. I’m quitting everything. I’m quitting. I’m gonna go golf,” he continued. “No, I’m just messing around,” he added.
The prankster’s camp also clarified this rumor with TMZ, saying that it was untrue and it was a joke. A source also told the site, “The kid’s got ambition.”
