Lea Michele is back to concentrating on her career after the tragic death of Cory Monteith. In fact, the Glee star has just released a preview of her first single Cannonball, off her debut solo album Louder on Soundcloud, along with the cover art and full track list.

On Tuesday, she tweeted:

Her first single, Cannonball, speaks of her journey through recovery, which is something she single-handedly knows of since the passing of her boyfriend and co-star Cory in July.

“I was scared to death I was losing my mind, I think I found the light at the end of the tunnel, I couldn’t find the truth I was going under,” she expresses in her debut single Cannonball.

Michele, who has kept a low profile after the passing of Cory, says the album encompasses her experiences over the past year and shows her journey as an artist.

“There’s a lot of emotion but it’s also very encouraging and hopeful — it’s about pushing forward and living your life in a way that’s louder, stronger and bolder,” she says in a statement. “I’m so excited to share this new side of me with my fans.”

On MTV News, the talented actress said that Cory knew about the album.

“Cory had heard every song from the album, obviously with the exception of those two [‘Cannonball’ and ‘If You Say So’]. And I figured I had the opportunity, if I want to add anything, and we sat down and we came up with ‘If You Say So,’ which is a very, very, very personal, it’s a very personal and it’s a very intense song for me, that’s one thing.

And I just felt that ‘Cannonball’ was the perfect first song for people to hear from this record. It just really explains where I am right now and it’s been such an inspirational song for me. It’s been such a rock, such a source of strength for me.”

She is clearly a strong woman and we have to admit that the song is incredibly infectious.
