We’re in the mood for floral prints so we’ve decided to show you a simple flower petal nail art that you can do without the need for any professional tools! We understand that it’s pretty difficult to find nail art tools, and sometimes they can cost quite a bit too. Hence, for this nail art, all you really need are some household toothpicks and nail polish.
You’ll need: A base coat, top coat, pastel blue polish, lavender purple polish, muddy brown polish, some toothpicks
Apply a base coat to protect your natural nails and to prevent the nail polish from staining your nails. The base coat will also help to strengthen your nails and prevent them from chipping or breaking.
With the pastel blue and lavender purple polish, paint all your fingers by alternating the colours.
Cut a toothpick into half. Then, dip it into the brown polish and start creating flower petals at two corners of each nail. It’s easy, just dab the colour onto the nail and drag the toothpick a little to form a long oval shape for each petal. We drew three petals for each flower, but you can do more if you’d like.
Your nails should look like this once you’re done with the flower petals.
Cut off one quarter of another toothpick and this time, make sure that its diameter is smaller than the toothpick we used to create the petals. Then, dip the toothpick into the same blue polish and make a dot at the centre of each flower you created.
Put on a top coat to seal in your nail design and to lengthen the durability of your nail polish. You’re done!
We love how girly and dainty our nails look!
