Having difficulties removing stubborn, waterproof eye makeup after a long day or a long night out? Think you’ve removed all off the “smokey eyes effect” only to realize that you still have some dreaded gunk left on your eyelids or, worse, under your eyes?
Don’t rub! Rubbing your eyes can break down the skin’s layers causing early aging, so do what you can to be gentle around your eyes.
Here are some tricks of the trade that will help you gently remove eye makeup. It will take you no more than two minutes:
1. Shake the bottle of eye makeup remover well.
2. Pour the mixture in a neat circle on a cotton pad. Let it settle well so that it won’t drip all over your face or into your eyes later
3. Close your eye and leave the cotton pad on your eyelid for about five seconds. The solution will then dissolve and break up the layers your eye makeup, making it easier to remove. This step is especially crucial if you’re using waterproof, smudge-proof eye makeup.
4. Then, gently swipe the gunk away. Be gentle! Don’t tug or rub at your eye. Sweep the cotton pad downwards and then outwards.
5. Most of your eye makeup should be removed by now. If there’s any residue, use a cotton bud soaked with eye makeup remover to get rid of residue.
6. Finally, with everything off, rinse with warm water. And you’re done!
What you would need:
1. Eye makeup remover
2. Cotton pads.
3. Cotton bud (optional).
