In her recent interview with HOT 97, Mariah Carey did not hold back when she shared about her experience on American Idol and her co-judge, Nicki Minaj!
She was on the judging panel for American Idol alongside Randy Jackson, Keith Urban as well as Nicki Minaj and said, “Honestly, I hated it.” Things did not turn out as she had expected on American Idol and she added about Nicki Minaj:
“I thought it was going to be a three-person panel. They gave me a nice dangling monetary moment, and I was just like, ‘Okay. Randy Jackson will be there; I’ve known him forever. He used to play bass for me. Like, this isn’t a big deal. This will be nothing.’ But it wasn’t that. It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan.”
The two stars have had several cat fights back in May 2013 whereby Nicki Minaj had tweeted, calling Mariah “insecure” and “bitter”.
Despite the hate and drama, Mariah also shared what she loved about the show, “You know what I loved? I loved the contestants. And some of them that were so good-and also really good people, you should tell it was disappointing when [the judges] would, for political reasons, not put people through,” she said.
