Cheap & Easy Ways to Do Your Own Hair Treatments at Home

A hair treatment at the salon can cost you a lot of money unless you know where to get the best deals in town. In an effort to help you out with your budget, we’re sharing two simple and cost-effective methods of effective hair treatment.

Hair salons would often treat your hair with a treatment cream and a steamer to help the product absorb into the cuticles of the hair. You can recreate the same treatment at home by investing in a steamer that’s easily available at leading Magic Boo outlets.

If a steamer isn’t within your budget, a shower cap and a hairdryer is sufficient. Start by applying and massaging your favorite hair treatment cream to 1-inch sections of your hair. Then, put on a thin shower cap over your hair and pin it with a few hair plastic hair clips so it stays secure.

Then, take your hairdryer and set it to medium heat at high speed. Direct the hairdyer to the showercap, starting from the bottom of your scalp, moving upwards all the way back to the forehead. Do this for about 15 minutes, but don’t forget to drink water in between as the heat from the hairdryer can dehydrate your scalp, causing headaches. If you do end up feeling dizzy, just rest a few minutes and drink chilled water.

If you’re not keen on heat-applied treatments, you can also treat your hair to a moisturizing treatment using your favorite oils. Just before you’re about to shampoo your hair, apply half a handful of oil over your tresses and massage the scalp too. Then, grab a warm damp towel and wrap it over your hair, and leave it on for 15 minutes.

Shampoo your hair with lukewarm water and style as usual. You can treat your hair with this treatment each time before you wash your hair, and you’re sure to see some remarkable improvement in your hair.
