It’s official! The “Tie It Up” singer, has tied a knot with Brandon Blackstock over the weekend. The talented, first ‘American Idol’ winner has married talent manager Brandon Blackstock in Tennessee. The queen of pop confirmed the news and included some of her beautiful wedding pictures via Twitter.
Kelly Clarkson walked down the aisle in a beautiful laced dress, ‘Jessamine’ from the Iris collection of Temperley Bridal, and a Maria Elena Headpieces headband. She was also carrying a bouquet of sunflowers and bluebonnets – the official flower of Texas, her home state.
The singer told E! News that they are not going to have a “big, huge” wedding but instead, “we’re just gonna go off with the kids and go get married”. Brandon’s two children, Savannah and Seth, were present at the wedding but unfortunately his stepmother, Reba McEntire was out of town for a concert in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The newly-weds bought a US$ 2.8 million mansion in Tennessee which spans about 17,000 feet. Earlier this month on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, the pop star said “I want babies, like, right off the bat! Well, I’m totally going to have a girl. My first child will be a girl – I know it in my soul.”
