The 1960s period is famous for the surge in creativity and innovation, and it was the era in which the best business jet of its time was created – Dassault’s famous Mystere-Falcon 20. To mark Dassault’s 50th anniversary, French-Swiss luxury watch brand Bell & Ross has created two limited edition timepieces: the Vintage Falcons.
Combining watch-making and aviation is nothing new for Bell & Ross. The brand, after all, has continuously created timepiece instruments that pay tribute to five key periods in aviation history from the 1900s to today.
Bell & Ross Malaysia hosted a party with the theme ‘The Birth of a New Classic’ recently in conjunction with the new opening of their flagship store in Pavilion KL as well as the launch of the new coleection. The exciting party was graced by Her Excellency, Madame Martine Dorance, the Ambassador of France, with the presence of Mr. Carlos Rosillo, CEO and one half of the Bell & Ross brand.
“We’re pleased to have captured the soul of the Falcon, which is its cockpit in a watch, where form follows function. So the watch really symbolises the wearer.” said Mr Carlos.
The theme party recreated an aeronautical atmosphere with models dressed up as 1960s stewardesses and vintage dapper suits. Apart from the who’s who of Kuala Lumpur and lifestyle press members, Bell & Ross also invited four sports personalities known as ‘Friends of Bell & Ross’. Pandalela Rinong, Daniel Bego, Mohd Zaquan Adha and Nam the Man were celebrated for their achievements in their respective fields and were presented with the Vintage collection’s new Sport Heritage line.
BR 123 and BR 126 are the two limited edition timepieces for Vintage Falcon, will be available only in exclusive Bell & Ross boutiques and e-shops.
