All the registration fees collected from participants will go towards supporting two charity homes, Shelter Home and the Monfort Boys Town. The Director of the Imaging Communication Products division of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) said, “This competition aims to be more than just a photography competition, but we want to be able to contribute and give back to our community.”
“Children from both the homes will join us in the race and we’ll be teaching them photography tips and we hope it’ll be a fun day out for them,” Donny added.
This year’s Canon PhotoMarathon will be different from the past competitions where participants will have to return to the stage and upload their photos before the next theme is announced. They will be tested on their interpretation of three separate themes which will be selected randomly on stage.
