While we could come up with thousands of questions with regards to that one word, British researchers have found that well-endowed men don’t seem to have it easy compared to men with smaller-than-average penises. In fact, Mr Average feels completely confident!
Lead researcher and psychiatrist from King’s College in London David Veale, says that guys who are packing it big suffer from “penis shame”, and that it’s an “emotional feeling”. Look who’s overbearing on the feelings, now?
The study, published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine showed that 35% out of the 173 male subjects were happy with their penis size. 30% reported dissatisfaction with their genitals; while older men, gay and bisexual men reported higher levels of anxiety regarding their penis size.
Veale told LiveScience: “Quite a few men have been teased about their size either by an ex-partner, or in the showers as an adolescent”. Sorry to hear about that terrifying experience, guys.
In April, a study from the University of Ottawa showed that women rated tall men with bigger penises are more attractive. If you’re always so “hard on” yourself, or happy with the way it hangs, relax! Women are told to embrace the different bodies that they have, and guys should feel the same way too.
