Must-Have Photo Filter Apps for Android Users

Let’s just accept the fact that we will never get over Instagram or disregard how this ingenious app has taken over our lives. From our point of views, a large portion of our lives now involve gazing at things and envisioning how good they will look in an Instagram photo or what filter we are going to use.

While the Instagram app already offers such stunning filters, we’re constantly on the lookout for even more filters for all our photos. In this case, let’s talk about how much we adore Tumblr-esque photos which give off a very vintage, washed out yet grungy feel and how you can get the same effect so that your photos will never again be lacklustre! Since most apps are catered to Apple devices, these will specifically be for Android lovers out there.

EyeEm

Similar to Instagram, EyeEm is another photo-sharing platform but with an additional feature: it connects you with like-minded peers based on the photos you share on your feed. Although we don’t need another photo-sharing app, one particular filter on EyeEm makes the app worthy to have on your device!

The “Steph” filter, actually named after one of EyeEm’s designers, instantly gives your photos a retrospective and nostalgic look and feel.

MagicHour

This app is highly underrated, in our books of course and is literally a haven for filter-loving people like us. Not only will you be able access over a hundred thousand filters out which are pre-made and created by other users, you can edit the filters to your own liking, or better yet create your own filters to be saved for future use. Brilliant, isn’t it?

From the Filter Market on the app, search for the filter “IU Vintage II” and download it for free. This filter will make you Instagram-famous as it makes your photos very pastel-like and vintage, very alike what you would spot on your Tumblr feed.

Another filter worth mentioning is “Fuzzy Lies”. This filter sets a grey cast over your photos, except this makes all the difference because it makes your photos appear very dreamy and urban bohemian looking.

Little Photo

Also not known to many, this app offers a plethora of different filters and effects for you to beautify your photos. We hand-picked this app because of this filter:

“White Shine” makes your photos look overexposed in the prettiest way, if that makes sense. Perfect!

All the apps above are available for free on the Google Play Store. Have fun glammin’ up your pics!
