There are tons of online clothing stores out there, but very few stand out. The Kooky Project, an online fashion store that was just recently launched, caught our attention for three things: the catalog’s colourful and unique prints, its amusing lookbook pictures (Darth Vader and Lions, anyone?) and its notable charity side project.
Describing its fashion offerings as ‘an exploration into the adventurous side of individualism’, The Kooky Project has a refreshing range of tops, shirts and dresses with eye-catching prints and colours. Alongside one-off vintage dresses and printed tees that come in limited quantities, the online store also carries unisex shirts that can be pulled off by both male and female customers. A personalized fashion note comes along with your quirky purchases that’ll be shipped for free to your doorstep – as long as you reside in Malaysia, of course.
Stemming from the founder’s passion for volunteer projects on children’s education, The Kooky Project also pledges to do something good while its customers shop for new clothes. An educational book will be donated to a school in need or to an orphanage for every item purchased from the online store, and customers can even suggest which book(s) they’d like to have donated. So, when you receive that super rad fox print sweater, a child will get a book that’s sent in your name! If you’d like to donate books yourself, or intend to collaborate with The Kooky Project in creating reading awareness among young children, just get in touch with the team!
