The wait is finally over for the 11th installment of the modern day urban cultural institution – Markets@JayaOne. After a month’s break, the Malaysia’s favorite quarterly bazaar returns to celebrate Malaysia Day with a historic line-up of booths and activities in uniquely Malaysian fashion.
Always a champion of local talent and entrepreneurship, Markets 11 continues the trend of celebrating local businesses and the arts scene. This year, shoppers can take a trip down nostalgia avenue and rediscover the games that defined their childhood, all thanks to the geniuses at WAGO – yes, the very masterminds behind Keretapi Sarong. There are prizes up for grabs with games including Baling Selipar, Bottle Caps, Batu Seremban and Rubber Rubber just to name a few.
Also, be on the lookout for the Urbanscapes booth, where you can purchase tickets to the iconic festival as well as keeping an eye out Pestle & Mortar guys who will be previewing their exclusive Urbanscapes merchandise.
An interesting new addition to Markets 11 that we are especially looking forward to is the inclusion of Pop by JayaOne – an introductory pop-up store featuring sensational vendors like KinkyBlueFairy, Creole, Medium Rare, and a special collaboration between Tongue in Chic and White Rabbit KL! Best of all, this is just a preview of what we can expect when Pop officially launches its own space in The School @ JayaOne on November 1st.
Local food fans will also be taken care of with the return of Lorong Makan, curated by online food delivery specialists Food Panda. It promises a great range of artisanal and local food vendors – keeping tongues wagging while adding to the festive mood of the bazaar like only Malaysian’s know how. Also available, are more than 80 specially curated vendors offering a range of lifestyle, fashion and even pet-friendly products.
See you there and Happy Malaysia Day!
