5 Foods That Give You Good Breath

Bad breath is incredibly embarassing and can be a reason for people to avoid talking to you at all cost. Besides the standard brushing your teeth and tongue, or having mints, we’ve come up with a simple guide on food you can eat to avoid bad breath. Though bad breathe can be caused by many reasons including eating food with garlic or something of that sort, if it still persists, do consult a doctor as it could he help related.

1. Yogurt.
According to several studies conducted, yogurt has tons of benefits including helping reduce bad breath. Yogurt has probiotics (the good kind of bacteria) that can help fight off the bacteria that causes your breath to smell. Also, yogurt also helps lower levels of plaque and gingivitis.

2. Parsley.
Parsley is no longer just a garnish on your plate that you toss to the side before digging in your meal, but also a really good way to treat bad breath. Based on a research, it’s the oils in the parsley that do the trick. Next time it comes with your meal, keep it aside to chew on once your done with the meal.

3. Green Tea.
Green tea has an antioxidant called polyphenols which basically destroys several compounds in the mouth that leads to bad breath, tooth decay and even mouth cancer. Also, it contains catechin which helps ward off bacteria that causes bad odor.

4. Oranges and Berries.
Most fruits help curb bad breath, but these fruits in particular take it to the next level as they are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C has the ability to fight bacteria as well as help with other diseases that cause bad breath.

5. Apples.
Another fruit that makes a huge impact when it comes to curbing bad breath. Chewing on an apple can produce quite a bit of salvia and that combined with the high fiber of the apple will help clean and cleanse your mouth. Apples also help clean your teeth, which is another way to get rid of bacteria build up.
