Top supermodels Naomi Campbell, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha are moving from the catwalk to the TV screen next to you starting tonight on DIVA Universal (Astro Channel 702). The runway goddesses have signed on to be modeling mentors on ‘The Face’, DIVA’s latest model-themed reality TV show in which 12 aspiring models will be divided into teams to be pitted against each other, until a winner is chosen.
The concept is similar to reality TV singing competition The Voice – except, of course, your vocal chords are of no importance here. Each week, contestants on ‘The Face’ will go through various challenges from test shoots to individual challenges and team campaigns. Naomi, Karolina and Coco will guide their own teams of model wannabes who all have the same goal of being the new ambassador of ULTA beauty, one of America’s fasting-growing beauty retailers.
Former ANTM judge Nigel Barker will be hosting The Face, and viewers will see a refreshing mix of contestants which include mothers, students, and former pageant winners from the U.S., Canada, China and Australia. While we’re curious to know whether Naomi Campbell will be throwing any of her infamous tantrum on screen, we’re also looking forward to getting a few tips from the three supermodels on what it takes to be number one in the glamourous world of modeling.
DIVA Universal is also rewarding fans of The Face with a fashion and beauty shopping spree worth US$1000! This grand prize will be given to two lucky winners, and 16 weekly prizes will be up for grabs when the show premieres tonight on DIVA Universal.
